Being a CIDESCO graduate with over 25 years in the beauty and wellness industry, Carolyn Wilcox educates staff globally in hydrotherapy treatments and spa protocols, is regularly invited to speak at industry conferences and contributes articles for spa and wellness magazines. Carolyn has developed Spa education programs, including award winning hydrotherapy DVDs that are used in accredited school training programs, overseen operations for a world renowned hydrotherapy facility located in Los Angeles, and consults on Spa projects internationally. Other achievements include a Diploma in Marketing, Australian Institute of Management Cert in Train the Trainer, Intl therapist qualifications, ‘hands-on’ vendor and spa management consultancy experience, PLUS owning several successful beauty clinics, have led to Carolyn being well known and respected in the Spa industry on an international level. In 2001 Carolyn accepted the position of International Education Mgr for HydroCo, and Australian based manufacturer of professional hydrotherapy systems, and was promoted to International Business Development Mgr in 2004. Her responsibilities include overseeing all operations for North America, USA dealers and distribution, all International dealers, distribution and training. In 2001 Carolyn re-located from Melbourne Australia to Los Angeles California, to oversee all aspects of the build-out for HydroCo’s hydrotherapy education facility Project, the largest in North America. Carolyn is a native Australian, who has been living between Australia, Kuwait and USA for over a decade. Some of the prestigious properties she has conducted Spa operations and training at include Ananda in the Himalayas India, onboard Norwegian cruise lines, Raffles Singapore, Four Seasons Gresham Palace Budapest, Park Hyatt Tokyo, Daydream Island Australia, Agua at Sanderson UK, Sheraton Waterfront Capetown South Africa, Dior Institute St Maartens, Palace le Blanc, Cancun Mexico, Hyatt Regency Waikiki and Ihilani Resort Hawaii, and many other locations throughout the USA, Middle East, Asia, Europe and Australia. Over the past four years, her focus has moved to all aspects of spa consultancy, primarily in the USA. Her projects include The Spa at The Palms, South Beach Miami Florida USA, Golden Bear Lodge Spa, CapCana, Dominican Republic, Equani Spa at Brasstown Resort, Georgia USA, Pure Spa at P Hotel, and the Pure Urban Spa franchise model, both located at State College Pennsylvania USA. Carolyn works closely with owners and investors, consultants and contractors alike, creating multi- functional facilities from concept to completion, and implementing in-house programs to ensure ongoing growth, success and profitability. Carolyn is a founding member of ASPA, a member of ISPA, has served on the ISPA Committee for Membership, was a Task Force member for ISPA 2007 Speaker Selection, and Task Force member for ISPA 2009 Focus Group, and is a keen supporter of ASTECC.
